AFFILIATE NAME CHANGE AND EXPANDING SERVICE AREA

Recognizing the significant growth of our Affiliate and the opportunities to serve even more people throughout the state of Colorado, Komen headquarters has approved plans for our Affiliate's expansion. The Southeastern Colorado Affiliate of Susan G. Komen will now be known as the Southeastern Colorado Affiliate of Susan G. Komen. During the next five years, we will grow our service area to include up to 15 counties throughout the southeastern region of Colorado. Such important expansion of our mission is a reality because of the dedicated work of our many volunteers. Thank you!

KOMEN'S RESPONSE TO MAMMOGRAM SCREENING STUDY

Susan G. Komen for the Cure® would not want to see a change in policy or reimbursement for screening mammography at this time. Susan G. Komen for the Cure continues to recommend annual mammography beginning at age 40 for women of average risk and earlier for women with known risks for breast cancer. We are constantly evaluating our guidelines and would not change them without serious consideration.  Read More.

Imagine the day when mammograms will be unnecessary.
Imagine the day when celebrating another year won't seem so miraculous.

Imagine the day when we won't have to fear for the lives of our daughters.

That's the vision we all share and with your help this is the ribbon that will
make it a reality.

HOW OUR GRANTS MAKE A DIFFERENCE
“No mom, no parent wants their child to go hungry. Project Angel Heart meant my daughter and I would eat nutritious meals. Words can not express how grateful I am to know that Project Angel Heart’s services were there when we needed them.” – Angela age 35 living with breast cancer
